All ages comics and manga for 5/12/10

It’s a good, steady list of all ages titles again this week. As part of National Pet Month, be sure to check out some of the pet comic titles available this week. The loveable scaredy-dog Scooby Doo is out, running from another ghost and helping to catch another criminal at DC Comics. Marvel Comics continues its second mini-series featuring Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers with #3 of Unleashed.  Boom! Studios brings out another trade of their popular Muppet Show series and IDW has a collection of comics from the 40’s and 50’s by lots of well-known comic writers and artists, that features among others, anthropomorphic animals, just like one of this week’s picks!

Growing Up Enchanted TP – Previously published in floppy format and nominated for an Eisner, this title is now available again collected as a trade paperback. Olianna has all the problems a typical girl her age; getting through school, dealing with bullies, and not killing her little brother Anto, all while trying to practice magic in a world of giants, trolls and dragons! It’s a tale of growing up filled with adventure and fun that both young and old will enjoy.

One Fine Day Volume 2 TP – The second volume of this Korean manwha is filled with more adventures with Nanai the dog, Guru the cat, and sweet Rang the mouse as they go to the library, go on a treasure hunt, and Rang goes on her first date! These stories are enchanting and light-hearted, and would make a great addition to any library, but most especially for pet lovers!
