All ages comics and manga for 4/14/10

It’s a long list this week, with some great titles!  First Second brings out the second volume in their fantastic series on the Greek gods with Athena: The Grey-Eyed Goddess.  Fantasy Flight Publishing has the third volume from the Legend of Percevan series and Disney Press comes out strong with a whole slew of titles from the upcoming movie Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time. Amelia Rules: The Tweenage Guide To Not Being Unpopular – Amelia is back with the first new original volume in 2 years!  Rhonda is determined to take herself and Amelia out of the unpopular crowd.  Armed with a self-help book, she and Amelia start on a road to try to become popular that involves, among other things, trying out for the cheerleading squad.  Will they succeed? Or will it all end in disaster? Prince of Persia: Before the Sandstorm TP – Disney Press makes it debut with material from the upcoming movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.  This graphic novel isn’t a retelling of the film though.  It’s a prequel of sorts, featuring six stories about the characters and the world of the film.  Written by the creator of Prince of Persia, and featuring art from some of the best talent in comics, this title is sure to not disappoint.  This title will most likely appeal more to boys, with all its action and video game roots.
