Picks:
Archie & Friends volume 3: Cartoon Life Chuck Clayton – This trade collects issues #126-129 of Archie and Friends, and features Chuck Clayton as he tries to share his artistic talents with the local kids. It’s all starts when Chuck is asked to teach an after-school class on cartooning. He soon finds out how active kids can be, but he’s determined to connect with the kids. He gets help from an unlikely source, and tries to help a troubled kid that’s well known for his graffiti. Kids can learn something about what it takes to create a comic as well as be entertained.
Adventures of Simone & Ajax – This is the story of Simone, a 20-year-old that likes to have fun and her companion Ajax, who happens to be small green dinosaur. Together, they go on some weird and wacky adventures to different places and times. The series is written to appeal to all ages, with a dual layer of story telling that both kids and adults can appreciate. Kids will like the humor and adventure, while adults will enjoy the more subtle jokes and parodies of people and events.
