Picks:
Archie #605 – Archie Comics big event of 2009 was marrying Archie off to both Veronica and Betty. This issue finishes that story line with an event that usually occurs after marriage: parenthood. Betty’s pregnant, and there’s plenty to do to prepare for the new arrival. Lamaze classes, and the whole birth! And it’s not just Betty and Archie who have changed. This issue also shows how the rest of the gang has moved on. If you’ve been following this story line, it’s a must. Both funny and heart-warming, this issue is sure to be the icing on the cake to such a momentous event in the Archie Universe.
Marvel Adventures Spider-Man And The Avengers Digest – Marvel Adventures are the all ages adventures of some of Marvels biggest characters. This digest features Spider-man and the Avengers, and collects issues #13-16 of Marvel Adventures Super Heroes, a titles that lets the heroes mingle. In this collection, She-Hulk, Tigra and Spider-man have to stop a robotic bulldog from stealing S.H.I.E.L.D.’s private files. Filled with action and humor, the Marvel Adventures line is a great way to introduce younger kids to their favorite super heroes without making them too "cute". I hope Marvel’s reboot of the line doesn’t lose this aspect.
