Also at GNR: Fairbanks, Alaska, librarian Greg Hill writes about the Guys Read program, in which volunteers read to elementary school students while they eat lunch; graphic novels are a prominent part of the mix.

Kean Soo blogs that the first volume of Jellaby has gone out of print, although the second book is still available. Heidi MacDonald rounds up reactions and commentary at The Beat; one school of thought holds that this might lead to a really nice omnibus edition sometime in the future. Soo notes that the first volume sold over 18,000 copies, which is pretty robust.
