Casper & The Spectrals #1 – It’s Casper the Friendly Ghost’s 60th Anniversary, and to help celebrate, Ardden Entertainment updates the character, along with his supernatural friends, Wendy the Witch and Hot Stuff with this new series. Within New York City is another city where all the supernatural creatures such as demons, witches, ghosts and goblins live called Spooky Town. An ancient evil has arisen, known only as Volbragg, and threatens both Spooky Town and New York City. It’s up to Casper and his friends to band together and fight the evil. Casper has been a staple in kids comics for years, so it’s good to see his return, with a story and style that will appeal to a new generation.

Fairest of Them All: Tales of the Wicked Queen – Have you ever wondered why the Wicked Queen from Snow White was so wicked? Well, now’s your chance to find out in this new novel for tweens. Starting when she was just a young bride, we meet the Queen as she worries about marrying the King and becoming Snow White’s new mother. See her own humble background, and who that man in the mirror really is. Written by Serena Valentino, a creator who has worked for Slave Labor Graphics, this story weaves original work with lines and scenes from the original 1937 movie, creating a story that is familiar yet new at the same time. Disney fans as well as those who love the villains will really enjoy this title.
