Uglydoll Chilly Chilly Ice Bat HC – Uglydolls started out as some drawings in a long distance relationship has become not just an independent toy line, but now has a series of books of young readers. This title is aimed at Tweens. It’s summer in the Uglyverse, and Wage and Babo’s air conditioner has broken down. So, they head to Ox and Wedgehead’s Air Conditioner Emporium. The only thing they can afford is an ice box, but when they get it home, they find Ice Bat has been living in it. Wage and Babo’s house becomes the place to be as Ice Bat can turn anything he touches into ice. But when Ox and Wedgehead find out, they decide they want Ice Bat for themselves. Uglydolls have really captured the imagination of kids with their ugly-but-cute appearance and quirky personalities.
Domo GN – Domo started out as a mascot for Japan’s NHK, and has proceeded to take over the world! He’s been a mascot for Target, and now he has his own manga! This full color title from Tokyopop features several stories from Domo’s world. The stories are written and illustrated by several different creators including creators of Peach Fuzz, and the artist for Vampire Kisses. Stories include Domo wrecking havoc on his friend Tashanna’s Wii, winning a box car race and pretending to be whatever he sees on TV. With such wild antics, Domo is sure to win the hearts of kids as well as adults.
