Sabrina vol 2 #101 (Young Salem 1 of 4) – After the big climax to the Tania Del Rio’s arc, readers are given a break and treated to a story they’ve been asking for. Salem, Sabrina’s cat, wasn’t always a smart talking feline. He was once a smart talking boy! In the first of this four issue mini-series, we go to Salem’s home on Saberhagen Farm, meet his family and see the beginnings of an adventure. Salem finds a talking frog who was once a prince, and the adventure takes off from there. Chad Thomas takes over the art, but it still have that "manga" feel to it and show appeal to Sabrina fans as well as manga fans.

Cars: Rookie #1 – Riding the wave of success from last week’s sellouts of Incredibles and The Muppet Show, Boom Studios keeps the kids comics coming with a series based on the hit movie Cars. Just before the Dinoco 400 race, Lightening McQueen is interviewed by Darrel Cartrip, and reveals his origins of a local short track racer with dreams of making it big. If the reception for last weeks comics says anything, it’s that you need to go out and get these books fast! Especially with Cars still being recent, and will be on a lot of kids and parents radar.
