Cybil Award Winners Announced!
Yesterday the 2008-2009 Cybils Award Winners were announced. The Cybils Awards are online book awards given to books for children and teens. The awards are administered and judged by bloggers who focus on childrens and teen literature. Awards were given in multiple categories, but I had the very great pleasure of being the organizer for the Graphic Novel Award. There were two winners in that category:
Elementary/Middle Grade: Rapunzel’s Revenge by Shannon and Dean Hale, art by Nathan Hale
Teen: Emiko Superstar by Mariko Tamaki, art by Steve Ralston
Congrats to all the winners and finalists! Stay tuned at the Cybils blog for more information, including interviews with creators and reviews of winning titles.
