All ages comics and manga list for 2/4/09
It’s the trades/manga turn to dominate this week. IDW has a title for the little ones with Tiger in a Pink Hat. DC collects their Tiny Titans into a trade for easy reading and stocking. Image makes a rare appearance with Missing the Boat, and Kid Beowulf from Bowler Hat returns for another printing. But it’s Viz that takes the cake with their wave of strong all ages titles, including the debut of a new title sure to please kids and parents alike.

Picks:
Mini Marvels TP Secret Invasion Digest – Mini Marvels are humorous comic strips based on Marvel Universe characters. They have appeared on and off as filler in various comics books, though more recently they have been features in some of Marvel’s all ages titles such as Power Pack and Marvel Adventures. This is the second trade published, and takes on Marvel’s latest storyline, Secret Invasion. This is light reading, good for letting the brain kick back and relax after a hard day at school or work.
Happy Happy Clover GN Vol 1 – Viz expands it’s Kids line again with a title that hasn’t been merchadised here in the US…yet. This title is about Clover the bunny and all her furry friends and their adventures in the forest. This volume features stories about Clover discovering the secret of a haunted spring, meets a bad fox, fights humans who want to cut the forest down, and gets lost in the dark. The art is very cute, the animals all having large, doe-eyes. This title looks like it will appeal to kids under 9 and girls (or animal lovers of any kind). The cuteness of the bunnies are too hard to resist!
