Linkfest: NYCC is just around the corner
New York Comic Con is taking place this weekend at the Javits Center in New York, and I’m pleased to say that fully half the Good Comics for Kids contingent will be there. If you will be at the con on Friday morning, please drop in on the panel "Newsflash: Teen Girls Read Comics!" at 10:15 in Room 1A24. Robin Brenner will be moderating and Kate Dacey and I will be on the panel, along with Tricia Narwani of Del Rey. And if you see us anytime over the weekend feel free to stop us and say hi—we look just like our chibis! If you can’t make it relax—we’ll be covering all the big news and events right here at GC4K.
Eric Wight will be at NYCC, promoting his kids’ book Frankie Pickle and the Closet of Doom, which is due out in May from Simon & Schuster. They will be handing out free preview copies at booth 1402, and Wight will be signing them starting at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Frank Cammuso will be there as well, at the Kids Love Comics booth.

At Robot 6, Jennifer De Guzman write about why she loved Wonder Woman as a child. The piece is illustrated with a lovely cartoon by her husband, Brian Belew.
Neil Gaiman talks to Remy Minnick of Comic Book Resources about the film being made from his graphic novel Coraline and how it has changed from the original.
