Linkfest: January interviews and reviews
It has been a little while since we’ve done a link post, so here’s a roundup of recent articles.
Maeve Clougherty has an interesting interview with Skim writer Mariko Tamaki at the McGill Daily. (Via Journalista.)
Also found via Journalista, this list of 25 essential kid-friendly graphic novels, by USA Today blogger Whitney Matheson, is almost a year old, but it is interesting as both a list of (mostly) worthwhile books and a reminder of how far the field has come in a year; the list could probably be doubled today.
Lia Granger interviews Shaun Tan, author of The Arrival and Tales from Outer Suburbia, for The Walrus.
While comics retailer Christopher Butcher is actually making a different (and rather interesting) point in this post at Comics212, the thing that jumped out at me was that we can expect to see more from American Born Chinese creator Gene Yang in the coming year.

Newsarama interviews Scott Morse about his new book, Tiger! Tiger! Tiger!
